Peter Schmeichel

Peter Schmeichel was born in Gladsaxe, Denmark on Nov. 18, 1963. He was widely considered as one of the successful footballers of his generation. Played as a goalkeeper of the Denmark national football team, he participated in many domestic and abroad competitions, winning numerous accolades and trophies for the team. On the basis of amazing performances on football fields and arduous efforts paid by him, he was appointed as the captain, pulling on Denmark football shirt and played for his country. Besides Euro 1992, he has participated in the 1998 FIFA World Cup and European Championship three times.

Except for worked for national football team, he was also sought after among many well-known football clubs, including Gladsaxe Hero, Hvidovre, Brøndby, Sporting CP, Aston Villa and Manchester City. During his playing career at clubs, he claimed 24 awards from 1981 to 2003. All splendid achievements above are best illustration of his raw talents and arduous efforts. Having experienced numerous competitions and as the winner of countless games, he won the respects from domestic and abroad spectators.
